Courage in Chinese tattoo
A courage in chinese tattoo is often written as two characters, not one. Duane checked this reading. It is not a stencil made for you.
If you mean the strength to endure, see strength in Chinese tattoo.
Characters
Simplified characters are the everyday writing in mainland China and Singapore. Traditional characters are used in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and in classic calligraphy, including 欧体.
These two forms are not the same shape. The form to tattoo depends on who should be able to read it.

Simplified

Traditional
The picture is set in LXGW WenKai, an open regular-script font. It is not Duane's brush writing. You can download it as a stencil of this reading. For your own words or name, use the form.
Meaning
Courage, the nerve to act. 勇 is brave. The second character is spirit or breath: 气 in simplified writing and 氣 in traditional writing. Together they name courage.
Common mistakes
勇 alone means brave, not the whole word. 气 and 氣 are the same word in two scripts, not two different meanings. 勇敢 means brave as a description, which is different wording.
Before you tattoo this
Say whether you mean a moment of courage, or the kind of person you want to be. If you mean the strength to endure, that is 力量.
Want this in your own words or name? Tell Duane the meaning you're after.
